From: pingel AT daimi DOT aau DOT dk Subject: Problems running djgpp To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu (Gnu C++ Mailing list) Date: Thu, 26 Mar 92 15:23:56 MET Status: O Hi! Regarding MSDOS version of DJGPP: I have a copy of GJGPP at home (don't know what version). I heard something about it being uncompatible with some other software. Could someone please tell me if the following configuration is safe as environment for DJGPP? 80486-33 256Kb cache. 12Mb RAM. 120Mb HD with stacker 2.0. EMM386 (no EMS, only UMB). DOS 5.0 (almost) everything loaded high. NCACHE (in UMB) using EXT mem for buffers. I tried the compiler some months ago (before I used stacker) and my harddisk got bombed. I don't know if it was DJGPP or something else that killed my FAT, but I'd like to know what programs to disable in order to use DJGPP. Do programs compiled with DJGPP have the same restrictions on what programs shouldn't be loaded as DJGPP? Thank for any help you can give me. /Soren pingel AT daimi DOT aau DOT dk --
