DJGPP specific changes. ======================= Nowadays the canonical place where info docs and man pages are stored is in /dev/env/DJDIR/share/info and /dev/env/DJDIR/share/man. Neither the INFOPATH nor the MANPATH environment variables in /dev/env/DJDIR/djgpp.env reflect this fact. Of curse, the user can edit the file and modify the variables accordingly but that is not the goal here. Inspecting the source code of man 1.3 shows that the hard coded defaults for MANPATH specify paths that no longer are canonicals anymore. The code has been changed in such a way that the defaults that will be used, if MANPATH is not set, will honor the actual DJGPP installation tree layout, and if MANPATH is set and the actual canonical paths have not been included, they will be added to the search path. This automaticaly avoids the need of user manipulation of djgpp.env. As usual the changes are documented by the /contrib/diffs file. The port consists of two packages that can be downloaded from ftp.delorie.com and mirrors as (timestamp 2007-08-29): man 1.3 binary and man format documentation: ftp://ftp.delorie.com/pub/djgpp/current/v2apps/man13b.zip man 1.3 source: ftp://ftp.delorie.com/pub/djgpp/current/v2apps/man13s.zip For the convenience of the WinXP users the binaries has been produced a second time using the djdev204 beta library. This package is available at ftp.delorie.com and mirrors as (timestamp 2007-08-29): man 1.3 binary and man format documentation: ftp://ftp.delorie.com/pub/djgpp/beta/v2apps/man13b.zip Send suggestions and bug reports concerning the DJGPP port to comp.os.msdos.djgpp or .
