It was only an installation program, and a lot of the code (eg GUI) is duplicated in another source file. I can retrieve the text strings from the executable. It shouldn't take too long to rewrite. In the future, I will keep backups before I start invoking GCC manually; but I should point out to anyone concerned that GCC should *not* have deleted a source file. Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention: I do have an object file, if it's any use. Ben Davis
