This sounds like you don't have the environment variables set up properly, make sure you haven't missed a file from the instillation instructions and or make sure you have followed the instructions correctly. Also be sure to go through the FAQ you might be experiencing the infamous Long file name problem that is talked about in the FAQ and Instructions.
