If ever you'll need some code, I have a small graphic tut on just
16-bit(640x480x16bit) graphics.

It's the "Tutorial in gr....." thing, just a textfile, but there are
a routine to switch modes, to plot and put/get bitmaps, bankswitches and
a .bmp converter(converts 24-bit .bmp:s to 16-bit bitmaps) and
a "put 24bit-bmp from disc" thing and maybe some other stuff, can't
remember:)
