DJGPP can make programs that run in a Windows 95 DOS box, and use Windows 95 features that are available from there (like long file names). This is Usenet, what else do you expect? :) Probably it will depend on your personal preferences. RHIDE is, IMHO, very good if you like Borland's development scheme. It has a TD-like debugging interface, and uses the "project" paradigm to manage large projects. For me, I don't happen to like that scheme. I use Emacs for editing, gdb to debug, and Makefiles for project management. I have no complaints. I suspect the answer will come only when you try it for yourself.
