We native English speakers get really lazy about : some things, though. :( I'm not sure about this. I'm not a native English speaker (as you might notice :), but I don't think that's laziness. Why does one say "The police are..." then? Or is 'police' plural too? What's the singular form? :-) English speakers are not the only ones being lazy. Many Dutch speakers say "data's" where they mean "data" (plural for "datum", Dutch for "date") too. : The singular form of "data" is "datum", btw. Yes. And all of this is very off-topic.
