The Objective-C run-time that comes with GCC-2.3.3 has lots of problems. In fact, the only machines I have ever heard anyone say that it works on are Sparc and Next boxes. It fails to work on most systems. In fact, I don't think anyone has yet claimed a success with it under Intel with any operating system. I know that it doesn't work under Interactive UNIX. I have read that it doesn't work under EMX either. I have yet to read of any success with it under 386BSD or Linux, but I could have missed something here. The bottom line is, don't be surprised if it doesn't work under DOS either. Hats off to Rami for just doing the port. There was a lot of talk about it, but he went ahead and did it.
