The problem here was that the Python "spice-sdb" backend uses the utility 
packages util_getopt (for parsing backend parameters) and util_repackage 
(for custom grouping of components into packages), but the default netlist 
path wasn't added to the Python load path if the backend was loaded from a 
non-standard location.  I fixed this in the `stable-1.10' branch (from 
which the patch will eventually be merged into `master').
