Hey folks. This has been bugging me off-and-on for years, and since I
just ran across it again I thought I'd ask about it.

When I have, for example, a surface-mount voltage regulator that has
an exposed pad that's connected to ground, and I connect it to a plane
for thermal reasons, I get complaints in the PCB Log window about the
net that's connected to the plane being shorted to that pin of the
component, because it's not reflected in the schematic (which may not
have a "pin" for that pin) and is thus not in the generated netlist.

Is there a way to deal with that gracefully, rather than just ignoring
the error messages in the log? Surely others have run across this.

             Thanks,
             -Dave
