Indeed, but at least a tool to help fixup non right-angle nets would be
a first step, and it must be doable. There was such a tool back when 
I used OrCAD or a 286.

BTW, a long time ago I protested because there was no dot when 3 or 4
pins coincided without a net segment. The bug was fixed at some point
but is now back.
