Yes. That would work. But, wouldn't there need to be multiple symbols for how far apart the diodes need to be to allow more signals? If that is the case, it would be easier to manually change the refdes.

Your suggestion would work well for transistors used in current mirrors with multiple outputs. Where one straight net is drawn through the bases of all the output transistors. I haven't needed to draw these in practice.
