Subject: [geda-user] Runtime guile error from gschem 1.8.2 and Guile 2.0.11 (OS X)
From: Charles Lepple <clepple AT gmail DOT com>

While trying to debug the guile-1.8-snarf issue, it was suggested that
I try building against Guile 2.0.

The build works, but then I get the following backtrace when starting gschem:

$ gschem
Backtrace:
In ice-9/boot-9.scm:
 157: 1 [catch #t #<catch-closure 110232c60> ...]
In unknown file:
   ?: 0 [apply-smob/1 #<catch-closure 110232c60>]

ERROR: In procedure apply-smob/1:
ERROR: In procedure variable-ref: variable is unbound: #<variable
11026a2f0 value: #<undefined>>
$

I have moved aside my ~/.gEDA directory, and started in an empty
directory, so it isn't picking up any stray rc files. (Also, the
geda-gaf rc files under $prefix are the ones that work when linked
against guile-1.8.8.)

Any suggestions on debugging this? I have guile-2.0.11, and I've seen
a number of reports of people running with 2.0.9 on Linux, so I hope
this setup is not too off-the-wall.
