Hi there,
I just upgraded my gEDA suite and now I have the pcb version 20140316 where
I noticed a change in file format, now all distance values are followed by
the unit (mil or mm) but I cannot understand the behavior of pcb... in fact
opening an old format file (without units), making some changes and saving
it, all is saved in the new format (with units) but something is saved in
mils and something in mm... why? Is this a random choice? I can't
understand the way pcb decides to use mils or mm because, for example, from
an old file containing 30 vias with coordinates expressed in mils without
unit about 20 are saved with coordinates in mils with units and the
remaining 10 become translated in mm with unit.
Is there a place where one can see a log of changes in .pcb file format
through pcb versions?
Thank you

-Filippo-
