There was a lead: "scm_sym_filename" is defined in srcprop.h  
This header file is was installed by minipack in
	minipack/result/include/libguile/srcprop.h
And I have it on my host system installed, too. So why would the 
linker not find it? The log suggests ../libguile is missing in the set 
of paths passed to the linker. Seems like I have to dig some more...
