So, does that step somehow get you to a footprint with copper curved areas in it?

I had thought, as in DJ's expample: http://www.delorie.com/pcb/solderjumpers.html
that the arcs didn't get included in a footprint.  Can you get them to
convert to something that stays?  A polygon?
