Hi Erich,
That helped a lot!
I now have:

ls /home/torben/gaf/gschem-sym
2_SCREW_CONNECTOR.sym 3_SCREW_CONNECTOR.sym PICAXE-14M.sym
ls /home/torben/gaf/pcb-elements
DIP14.fp mors_2p.fp mors_3p.fp

For Add-Component I get:

>
local
> Basic devices
.
.
.

and when i double-click the empty space at the top, I get:

2_SCREW_CONNECTOR.sym
3_SCREW_CONNECTOR.sym
PICAXE-14M

Now I am supposed to enter:

gschem one.sch

When I do I get error messages about a missing one.sch and the curser goes
to the next line. Actually that is not surprising considering that that
one.sch does not yet exist.
When I then fill in the schema and run /home/torben/gaf/myproject3/gsch2pcb
project I get the error message:

No elements found, so nothing to do.

I have saved one.sch so that is another surprise - can you help?
best regards
torben
