Check your Groupings (File->Preferences->Layers->Groups)

Whatever column is your "back side" needs to have the row for your
copper layer checked AND the row for "bottom side" checked.  That tells
PCB which copper layers are on the "far side".

OFTC suffered a huge spam problem a few months ago, and most of the
lists (if not the whole server) require authentication before posts are
allowed.  I could probably revert that now for #geda.
