Stefan,
That sounds really clever, I can visualize the trace thickness changing, 
no problems there however I can also see the space between traces being 
reduced and lots of DRC issues.  Just the same I did not know it was 
possible to globally change all selected traces or via from the command 
line or field so I've learned something new.  Ian
