Hi Phil,
     It's Mint15-cinnamon but I'm sure the problem is Nvidia 8500 gt 
video.  PCB is looking good and fast on my Mint15-cinnamon laptop.  I've 
left a question with nvidia and see what they say. I think it was better 
with the older2008 SW days.
