Thanks DJ,
I've put pcb on my Acer Aspire 5250-0678 with Mint15 and a Radeon
6310 video board. It works really great better than Mint 13 on my
desktop. Loads the completed layout in less than 1 second. I guess my
desktop problem is due to the Nvidia 8500 GT video board.

Of interest I tried an ATI HP compaq Radeon 1300 SFF 256Meg and two
live distros nomodeset etc always gave a garbage screen after a clean
grub start. I guess I need to find a new video pcb that still has
drivers. Both ATI and Nvidia have all drivers in one big package and I
think ATI have dropped support for older cards. I still have other
issues with the desktop video when compared with the laptop. Thanks Ian.
