I assume the answer you're looking for is "POSIX", which DJGPP
supports. BTW ...

This is not correct. First of all, RHIDE is TUI, not GUI. (I know,
minor difference.) Secondly, you obviously didn't try GNU Emacs + GDB.
If you're unhappy with RHIDE or want to test the waters a bit, you
really must try GNU Emacs. Seriously, read this:
