I think Borland C 5.5 produces Win32 programs, which should work fine.

Since DJGPP uses stock GCC/G++, unless you're doing something really
DOS-ish (non-ANSI), it should compile fine for other platforms with
GCC, e.g. Cygwin or MinGW.
