Hello,
after some research, I still can't uderstand very well what's wrong...
It looks like that the optimizer "cuts" a piece of code!
As I said, I'm compiling 3.4.2 and I'm using DJGPP with 3.4.2 compiler
too.
What version are you using for compiling that build of DJGPP?
Do you think that I should switch to an older version of DJGPP?
However, I will try with the DJGPP's sources too. 
BTW, what are the differences between the original GCC source archive
and the DJGPP source archive (this is just a curiosity...)
