Things to look for:

* File named makefile or Makefile (not MAKEFILE or Makefile.dos or whatnot)

* File in the same directory.

* File NOT named Makefile.txt or Makefile.doc (notepad and wordpad do this).

So, try again, and in the directory where it fails, do "ls -la" and
see what it says.
