This is not, as your subject implies, a compiler problem, but rather a
problem with your C++ tutorial --- you're using one that is outdated
by roughly 5 years.  Get a decent tutorial, i.e. one with no use of
<iostream.h> in it, and definitely no 'void main', and you should be
ready to go.
