I'm rather new to XP, my old computer with Win98 crashed and can no longer
boot from that HD, but I got the HD into my new XP-computer as slave.
When I boot DOS from disk, I can use djgpp in c:\e\djgpp.
When I boot XP and use a dos-box, I get it in e:\e\djgpp,
then:
E:\E\DJGPP>set djgpp=e:\e\djgpp\djgpp.env
E:\E\DJGPP>set
path=e:\e\djgpp\bin;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\Sys
tem32\Wbem;
but this doesn't work since
E:\E\DJGPP>path
PATH=C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;
so the new path isn't added.

when I use cmd.exe I have cursor-key functionality, but this mode is
very incompatible.
So I click on my old "gwbasic.exe" and then "shell" which gives me
a dos-box, but doskey (and some others) don't work.
I also tried "command.com" from the desktop, no luck.
So I boot dos from disk for djgpp and boot XP from HD for internet etc.

I meant not necessarily djgpp programs - I couldn't yet compile
any under XP -

don't know, what these are, sounds complicated...
google search took me to a page saying
his files were no longer available due to copyright problems
