It's explicitly been reported to affect the FPU precision control,
too.  

In the meantime, I've found at least one possible reference to
this to back up what I remembered only so vaguely:

	http://www.wrotniak.net/works/testfpu/

Mr. Wrotniak explicitly mentions McAfee's vshield.exe as one culprit
causing such effects.
