I have lots of ideas, but I want to select only the useful ones ;-).

Seriously: please post all the relevant information: the *full* crash
traceback, both on Windows and on DOS, after running SYMIFY on it.
The code fragment(s) which install the handler and the handler itself
woyuld also be nice.

It might be useful for you to read section 12.2 of the FAQ, it
explains some basics about interpreting crash messages.
