Hey John!

I'm having the same problem exactly!  Any luck yet?

Want to see something even more strange?  Compile and link in two steps:

1.  gcc -c hello.cpp -o
2.  gxx -o hello.o

It works on my machine!  As mentioned, though, I still get errors with the
single step "gcc -o hello.exe hello.cpp"
