Subject: Question about compiling & linking

I am using a windows program editor/IDE that allows me to run DOS commands
from a menu. When I try to compile and link a program at the same time, the
compiler runs just fine, but when I try to run the program, it justs locks up
the DOS window. However, if I first just compile to create an object file,
and then run the compiler again and just link, then the program works fine???

Any ideas why???

Thanks alot,
Mark Waron
