Hmph - RAM is cheap these days.  You can get 16 MB for $130-$150,
depending on where you look.  All you need to do to get 40 is start with
8 and buy a 32 MB chip, and voila!

I used to know this, but I don't remember the details anymore.  I thought
it was related to FUBAR (the meaning of which we all know), but some
niggling memory tells me it might be otherwise.  I do remember that it
goes way, WAY back into the history of computing.  :)
