Subject: how to unsubscribe

Methinks we need a permanent solution to permanent solutions.... :-)

Methinks we need a permanent solution to this problem of
   subscribe/unsubscribe messages. What about arranging
for the djgpp forwarding to add either an RFC header giving
the details of the relevant server, or else a standard four
line block giving details about the list.

Other lists do one or other of these two things.

Um, hate to break it to you, but this is the wrong place to send this
message, since the listserv maintainer doesn't necessarily read this
list. Nobody who is active on the list (including DJ) can do anything
about it directly. I am also putting this message to djgpp-request,
which is where such requests should go.

While we're wishing, I'd prefer the RFC header method, since I can put
it on the *clobber-these-headers-list* of my mailer.

And while we're jamming stuff in the the maintainer's inbox, how about
a big round of applause for the people who provide the list and also
have historically provided the space and access for FTP and mail for
the compiler suite at Clarkson?
