                     TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

A new version of the free DESQview/X libraries for DJGPP has been
uploaded to 'barnacle.erc.clarkson.edu'. The file qddvx101.zip
can be found in the directory: /pub/msdos/djgpp it is 975455
bytes in size. To unpack it use pkunzip with -d.

This distribution contains support libraries for building X
programs for DESQview/X using djgpp 1.08 or above. The directory
structure is now in the correct contrib format. Where all files
are placed in contrib\dvx off your DJGPP directory:
     inc - X and BSD socket include files
     lib - X and BSD socket library files
     docs - socket,daemon and protected mode API documentation
     bin - some utility programs
     demos - Demonstration X clients
     qdeck - Sample clients peculiar to DESQview/X

Changes from 1.00 :

The Athena Widget Libraries have been recompiled with the XAW_BC
define (for backward compatability.)

getuid() now works.

Additional include files pmi.h, dvapie.h, pwd.h, regexcmp.h, bsd.h.

Additional demonstration programs which include: An X client
demonstrating fractional spacing with Adobe Type 1 scalable
fonts; A print screen program; A remote printing program; Sample
chat programs demonstrating socket and daemon programming using
both TCP and UDP; A demonstration of the help interface routines
and a sample help file; A demonstration of how to start
additional processes.

Referemces for protected mode api support, BSD 4.3 socket
interface, network daemon api, the help interface.

The addition of the programs helplib.exe and qmake.exe and
documentation their use.
