Subject:	Patch problems

The patch with 1.08 doesn't work right if TMP is set to a different
drive than the drive the file to be patched is on, as it ends up
removing the file that it is patching.  I've fixed it in 1.09
(utils.c) to work correctly.  This may or may not be the same problem.

Workaround: set TMP to the same drive as your files (or to /tmp
without drive spec).
