For nearly all purposes your better off just commenting out all the
termio mucking around and using kbhit() and so on from libpc.

What is this? is sounds interesting. Is there a list of GNU
libraries? I now have the multi-precision integer library gmp
compiled. I can provide binaries if anyone wants them or has an
archive site for them. There aqre no source changes, but some
file-names had to change and the makefile had to change a lot.
