I posted the question on how to get djgpp working so that I could
compile the output from f2c. Everyone has been telling me that
more memory than 1Meg would be necessary to avoid swapping to disk.
I intend to get more memory, but this still doesn't solve my problem
of not being able to get djgpp to work. After opening up a swap file
all disk activity stops. It seems to me if the problem were one of
not enough memory that it would either continue swapping to disk or
not even run at all (ie no swap file would be opened up). The djgpp
documentation implies that it should run with only 640 Kb, although
it does mention that it will do a lot of swapping.
