Subject: Trident (89 ?) vga driver
Status: O

I have a taiwanese no-name Trident 1MB card. Using this card and vga or
et3000 driver I can display in 320x200 graphics, but with trident or tridnt89
drivers the screen goes blank when trying to run the same program (only
changing the GO32 environment variable between trials). The program asks for
default graphics mode. I have tried 320x200, 640x480, and 800x600 modes.
Sometimes the screen returns to mode 80 prompt after a while and other times
I have to reset.

Has anyone had success in using Trident based cards for higher than 320x200
resolution graphics? Is there some inherent problem with Trident that makes
it impossible to use?
