Subject: uname -m ?
Reply-To: djgpp-workers AT delorie DOT com

Hello,

Nothing serious, but I'm just curious - why "uname -m"
prints plain "pc" instead of CPU type which is more
common on Linux? This would allow to use correct CPU
type for host specification, e.g. i686-pc-msdosdjgpp
instead of generic i386-pc-msdosdjgpp.
Only one package I'm aware of that would be broken
by changing "pc" to "i?86" is GNU Autoconf. However,
it could be easily fixed.

Bye,
Laurynas Biveinis
