   Has anyone experimented with the editbin that comes with MSDEV?  It seems
   to indicate that it will speed up the load time of a DLL:

I have not used it.  My understanding is that it only makes a
difference when you have more than one DLL at the same base address.
That should not happen in a normal cygwin32 app.  When it does happen,
you can see it happening if you run the program under gdb.
